In the Versus mode of the Custard Reject Facility, the host of the room plays as the Crawler, whilst in the Training Maze, he is active alongside the host and a New Born. In the Training Maze, his chasing speed is identical to the player's, requiring the use of turns and walls to get away from him. He emits audible creeping sounds, alerting collectors of his presence. Once he reaches a certain radius, he will scream and accelerate as long as the player remains close by. Like several other enemies, the Crawler constantly stalks the player from the beginning of the game. He is also encountered in the Training Maze. The white teletubby himself is portrayed as an antagonist in Custard Reject Facility. His objective is still to collect the custards - from one to twenty-five - through different locations, and trying to stay away from the different dangers that may lurk therein.Īlthough the Guardian does not appear as the playable character, he is the default skin for “The Player”. This time, he has a Night Vision Camera that allows him to better find his way in the darkness and the mist. The Guardian is once again the player-character. There can be up to four players in Co-op mode, and three in Versus Mode. The player can run for an unlimited time and fall from high altitudes without getting injured. The only way to evade certain death is to avoid having visual contact with the latter. However, this goal may be hindered by Tinky Winky, who is constantly chasing him and speeds up every time a custard is picked up. His goal is to move around the Main Land to collect ten custards that are scattered at many different places. The Guardian is the playable character in the very first game. He also devoted himself to the subjects he observed, to the point of considering them as his friends even though they had never seen him. The spectrum of his attitude can go anywhere from rude and aggressive to reasonable and empathic.įor the most part, the Guardian tries to pursue his goal bravely, determined to find answers about the origins of the infection and other mysteries surrounding his own species. The Guardian displays a variable personality, depending purely on the player’s dialogue choices. In the third game, the Crawler undergoes a redesign in which the second half of his body has grown into a sort of flesh-coloured parasitic creature, while keeping his cow-skinned hat atop his head. He has black eyes with red pupils and sharp teeth, while his spine and organs drag on the ground as he moves. In the “Regretful Ending”, The Guardian lost his legs, and a slightly curved antenna grew on his head. When the “Evil Ending” is achieved, The Guardian has exactly the same appearance as if he was alive - the only exception being a pale face and bloody, empty-looking eyes. Depending on the game, the Guardian holds either a Flashlight or a Night Vision Camera. He wears a cow-skinned hat on top of his head, the latter presumably belonging to Dipsy. The Guardian is a humanoid covered in white fur with his face, including the inside of his large ears, depicted to have caucasian skin.
